ZX2005 GT-Turbo Cold-Air Intake System

Reliable bolt-on horsepower is now available for the Chrysler Turbo PT Cruiser 2.4L 4 cylinder. This easy-to-install PT Cruiser Intake system was designed to use the factory lower air box and can be fitted to your PT in just minutes. Unlike some other intake designs, the filter housing is a one-piece unit that does not require any assembly, meaning that there are NO fasteners to eventually loosen, rattle, or get lost! This housing has an extremely durable titanium-colored powder coat finish.

The heart of the system is a premium Air Force One High-Flow Filter that is protected from engine heat by an innovative, one-piece cool air dam enclosure.

Independent Dyno tests show an increase of both HP and torque. All these great features plus a fantastic price make this intake system hard to beat!

How to Install this Intake System:

Installation is very simple and easy. If you should have any questions, please contact us at 310-643-7686, 9am - 5pm, M-F, PST and we will be glad to help.

Your intake kit should have 4 parts:
1 - Metal intake housing,
2 - Air Force One basket-type filter element,
3 - Filter element clamp &
4 - Press-on weather-seal gasket.

If any parts are missing, please contact us at the number above before installing your intake system.

The filter is a permanent-type, reusable element and should be cleaned periodically (every 7,500 miles under normal use, more often in dusty conditions.) Use the BTG™ Blue-Oil Reusable Filter Recharge Kit, (part # PT1028BTG) available via your selling dealer or order online at www.pt-tuning.com.

1) Disconnect the Negative Battery Cable (-).

2) Loosen the intake tube clamp on the stock air box lid, then unclamp and remove the lid.

3) Remove the air box, leaving the base in place.

4) Install the ZX2005 air box assembly and clamp in place with the factory clamps.

5) Place the OEM intake tube onto the new ZX2005 air box and secure with the OEM clamp.

6) Loosen supplied clamp on the ZX2005 air-filter element and slip the filter into place inside the new air box, then tighten clamp.

7) Press the supplied weather-seal gasket into place on three sides, leaving the side facing the fender located cold-air-inlet clear. (Cutting the hard plastic channel at 90 degree bends makes installation easier.)

8) Make sure no foreign objects or other debris are in the intake area.

9) Reconnect the battery cable and away you go!
