Methods
of Payment Accepted:
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express.
We also accept checks and cashier checks via mail order. Follow the
on-screen instructions or see the
How To
Order page for details. All but checks may be used when ordering via
our secure online payment system or via FAX ordering.
Our Payment Procedure
verifies that your credit card is valid and that the billing information
matches the name and number on the card. To comply with the current Visa/Master Card rules and regulations your account will be billed upon verification of your order.
Certain items in short supply
require Deposits to determine a Customer's order in the delivery
sequence. In this instance, we verify/charge your card account only for the
amount of the deposit when we receive your deposit order request. The
balance for your order, which includes the shipping and handling charges,
is then charged to your card just prior to shipping. You will be
contacted prior to shipping for current credit card information.
Please note: your credit card statement will show Bauhaus Corporation,
(our parent company) as the merchant name - please remember that Bauhaus
Corporation is our corporate name when you get your bill.
Secure ordering on our site is protected via Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Our security certificate is provided and
verified by Equifax Secure Services and your payment is processed using
VeriSign's Secure Online Payment Processing System.
About
Sales Tax:
Bauhaus is incorporated and has facilities in Los Angeles, California.
Therefore, we must collect and report sales tax at the current tax rate for Hawthorne, CA, based
upon the amount of your purchase, for all orders shipped to a California
address. If your order ships to a state other than California, you pay no
sales tax on your order, at this time.
If required by other states in the future, we may begin to collect sales
tax in every state that makes this request. Please check this page
periodically for updates to our policy on sales tax collection.
Fax/Back Credit
Card Confirmation:
To minimize instances of credit card fraud, we will require that a signed
confirmation of your order and intent to pay with your credit card be
faxed to us on all orders that total $850 or more, including deposit
orders. When we receive your order, we will send a copy of it to you via
fax to the fax number that you supply on the order form during your
"checkout" procedure. If you do not provide us with a fax number
for this confirmation, then we cannot complete your order if it is over
$500. We will then ask that you sign this order confirmation and fax it
back to us at the fax number we give you on the form.
We will also ask that you give us
the security code number that is on your credit card. On the fax that we
send to you, we will explain where this number is located. This is the
best way for us to confirm that you are the owner of the credit card and
that this order has been authorized by you.
We regret that we have to take
this extra step in the processing of your order, but only in doing so can
we offer you the best protection against unauthorized use of your credit
card while, at the same time, minimize the impact of credit card fraud on
our prices.
Receipts
and Records:
After you go through our secure online payment system, you will receive a
detailed receipt via our automatic Customer Notification System. This
receipt shows all of your order information including a summary of what
you ordered and all product choices, your billing and shipping addresses,
name, and order number. No credit card information will be on this
receipt!
No credit card information is ever
sent over the internet via unencrypted means so your data is always
protected. If you do not receive this
receipt, your order did not complete and you must contact us as soon as
possible to minimize any delays.
Please note that if you do not specify a valid e-mail address, your
order receipt will not arrive and your order may be significantly delayed.

How will you bill me?
We take your order via our Secure System and will then we obtain an
authorization for the amount of your order from your credit card company.
Upon verification of your order your credit card will be charged. In the case of an
item requiring a deposit, the deposit amount will be billed immediately. The
balance for your order will then be billed to your card when the order
ships. Your credit card bill will read
"Bauhaus Corporation" as the billing merchant.
What is your pricing policy?
We do our best to bring you the lowest prices we possibly can by
keeping our overhead low and on working hard to minimize online fraud. We
may run specials from time to time and will notify our e-mail list
subscribers in advance on these promotional events.
What forms of
currency do you accept?
When you use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover
Card, the currency is automatically converted to US dollars. All prices
shown in the PT-Tuning Online Store are quoted in US dollars. If ordering
via check draft, check, or money order, please make sure that the funds
are drawn on a bank which uses US dollars.
What if I need to cancel
an order?
Please notify us immediately. However, if the order has already
shipped, it is your responsibility to accept the charges for it. Be sure
you really want what you are ordering before pressing the final
"Continue" button.
How do I use an
electronic coupon or gift certificate in the Store?
First you will need to know the electronic coupon or gift
certificate code. We will e-mail this code to you in the event of a Store
credit, or it may be posted on the News page in the case of a special
promotion that we are running. In either case, enter the coupon or gift
certificate code exactly as it is shown (capitalize as necessary), and
click on "Redeem Coupon" (or "Redeem Gift Certificate"
if it is a gift certificate) during checkout. You will see a place to
enter the code during the checkout process. If the code is valid, you will
notice that the shopping cart has subtracted the amount of the coupon or
gift certificate from your total order and the remainder is what will be
charged to your credit card or deducted from your bank account (in the
case of paying by check draft).
